Print in Actuality!
Here is the print in all it's glory (oooh, black and white background!) or at least as much glory a webcam can provide. The scanner at the studio was not cooperation for whatever reason, so webcam? Yes ma'am!
The screen prints are two colours (orange and blue) on 12 x 18" cream stonehenge paper. About twenty were made and only a few of them registered properly! So... grrrrrr! But meh, this whole thing was kind of an experiment. It wasn't going to line up 100% because the positives I made (one india ink, one rubylith) were not accurate to begin with. The way I see it is that if you want accuracy then offset print it, but what fun is that?
There will be two more images that are in progress right now! They will be available at C4 this November.

Colour ideas for new print
A couple of ideas for a trio of prints to be sold at comic con - thought the girl with the blue hair would be holding feathers and the purple hair would be holding stars and moons.

New Work!
Three pieces to add today. These were done a few weeks ago but I waited to use Martha Street's nice BIG scanner instead of tiling the images together on my shittastic scanner. Normally I draw on 11 x 17" paper or in a larger sketchbook so it makes scanning at home difficult - thus my being unable to upload the second I'm done an image, leaving Lisa an ancy girl!

If I was on Daria
Yes, everyone imagines what they would look like in a certain cartoon. Every artist draws themselves at least once in somebody else's style. I've done it it more than once. It's the narcissist in me. I guess this is what I would look like on Daria. That cartoon completes me.

Practish Practish Practish!
Tryin' to get in the make-comic-mode, which is hard because the most I can seem to do is practice my style and make mock covers. When will the REAL work come? WHEN?? Sigh, I am a huuuuge procrastinator and need to address that, especially with Comic Con coming. I have to figure out what the heck I'm gonna sell!
CARBON would be semi-autobiographical, but not so much so because I would embellish personal stories A LOT to make them more interesting, but not to the point where they're too fantastical. A lot of the material would come from life experiences as an unsuccessful alumni and exploit my own self-deprecating humor. It would also explore possible scenarios as to what the future might hold for a post grad struggling to adjust to adulthood. The first person to call it a "coming of age tale" will receive a nice Cliche Observation of the Year Award, which I will personally sign.
Curb Angles' story needs work, and lots of it. It dances between drug abuse, international travel, underground gangs and possibly sex trafficking... plus the kitchen sink?

Potato Chips for Dinner
Some new work! Well, the first image of Anjelic is new. The others were done some time ago, scanned and never really completed due to business/my own laziness.

Hair in the City
LA Jorgensen, Hair in the City, 2009
A gift made for the good people at Hair in the City (now "Hair H202"). Although the photograph of the image is unedited I just wanted to show how the silver lettering showed up on the poster. Of course you'll never get the shimmeryness of real silver ink from a photograph! The image below shows the positive used for the final screen print, although the file with the little airplanes and the text is MIA. Hmm... I'm on the search!

Andromeda
Meet Andromeda! Or Anna for short.
Andromeda is a graphic novel that is currently being reimagined and edited from it's former name "Sabrina". Originally an updated concept for Archie Comic's Sabrina the Teenage Witch, Andromeda is a teen girl who moves from London to the States under mysterious circumstances involving a family tragedy. Anna is a loner who enjoys reading and writing and only wishes for her life to be normal but there is something odd about her as strange things begin to happen when she is around...

Welcome and thanks for visiting my artblog! I will be updating this blog with some of my personal artwork and designs, including pages from some of my comics.
I've never been much of a blogger, maybe back in the day when Livejournal was the things to use, but it was never public. Hopefully I can bump this blog for a personal website someday, but until then this is the best I have to offer.
So I guess I'll start by adding four examples of past work. Enjoy and check for more later!
